another damn mouse

Day 324 of 365 in the “Marathon of the Dope” . . .

.....................................................................................................

So it’s four in the morning and I hear this metallic clicking, over and over.

No, not from an escaped Fallout 3 robot, but a mouse caught in our tin-cat live mouse trap.

It’s been a long while since the last micro-rodent got caught in it and I thought maybe our attic over the garage was relatively free of them.

That would appear to not be the case. What we caught is a deer mouse, fantastic climbers, and so small when compared to our pet rat.

Still, they chew on wiring and cause no end of no good for your house. If you see them, get rid of them any way you can.

This little mouse will take a long drive (they need to be deposited over 2 kilometers from your house or they can come back) and find a new home in the forest outside of town.

Let’s hope it finds a nice tree to live in - or an owl’s belly, depending on how you feel about these things.

Until tomorrow . . .
